We numerically study interacting bosons in hybrid Harper-Hofstadter systems with a synthetic dimension of harmonic trap states. Interactions are inhomogeneous and long-ranged and include correlated pair tunneling. Two-leg ladders exhibit variants of vortex and Meissner phases. Small two-dimensional systems also support unusual ground states, including a Meissner stripe combining counterpropagating currents with strong density modulation.
