We investigate how imaginary line-gap topology protects temporal localization in non-Hermitian two-mode systems across the different symmetry classes. The analysis identifies a symmetry-based diagnostic for robust localization at a temporal interface: time-reversal symmetry squaring to +1 or particle-hole symmetry squaring to +1 must be present. This extends the framework beyond the previously studied parity-time-symmetric setting and provides guidance for experiments.
