We develop a framework for topologically protected localization at temporal interfaces without requiring periodic driving or a mapping to spatial topology. For parity-time-symmetric systems with two coupled modes or bands, suitable topologically distinct phases enforce temporal localization independently of spatial dimensionality. The framework accounts for existing observations, including photonic time crystals, and suggests further experimental platforms.
